  • The Atlanta Falcons is a professional football team that plays in the NFC South Division of the National Football League. The team came into being as an expansion team in 1966, as the NFL was engaged in a battle for football bragging rights with the upstart American Football League. They made the playoffs for the first time in 1977 as a wild card team, and won their first division title in 1980. Their best season was in 1998, when they went 14-2 in the regular season, and defeated a 15-1 Minnesota team on the road in overtime to win their only NFC Championship.

Michael Turner has a high ankle sprain and is iffy to play in this week's game against the New York Giants. If he is unable to play, Jason Snelling and Possibly Jerious Norwood would fill in.http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=rotowire-ichaelurnerighnklepr&prov=rotowire&type=fantasy
