  • Athlete is an alternative indie rock band from England. After forming in 1999, they signed to Regal Recordings and released their debut album, Vehicles and Animals, in 2003. The album sold well, but their follow up fared better still: 2005's Tourist. In 2007, Athlete released their third album, Beyond the Neighborhood, which received a mixed reception by critics.

    Some of the band's singles include "Wires," "El Salvador," "Half Light," and "You Got the Style." Their music has been heard in such films as The Last Kiss and A Good Year and TV shows like Diagnosis X and One Tree Hill.
