ATA Bankruptcy

  • On April 3, 2008, ATA Airlines declared bankruptcy and shut down all operations. The airliner also immediately canceled all scheduled flights. In a statement on the company's website, the airliner cited that the reason for the bankruptcy came, "Following the loss of a key contract for [their] U.S. military charter business, it became impossible for ATA to continue operations.USAToday: ATA files for bankruptcy, suspends all flights (April 3, 2008)
