At 2007's Tokyo Game Show, Ubisoft producer Jade Raymond confirmed in an interview with Gamersyde that there would be no playable demo of Assassin's Creed for Xbox Live or PSN. The reason given is that Assassin's Creed is not a linear game with defined missions and environmental limits. The cities used as the backdrop for the story are too huge to be satisfactorily chopped up into demo-sized bites. This would eliminate the open exploration aspect of the game, which is a key gameplay element of Assassin's Creed.GameTrailers.com: New Assassin's Creed interview
