Since in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Ezio Auditore da Firenze must form a new Assassins Brotherhood, players will have the chance to unlock additional rewards. While the Guild Rewards are unlocked only after Ezio completes the goals related to the brotherhood he must establish, the Shop Quest Rewards will be unlocked after he finishes the jobs he picks up from the city’s merchants.

The main story in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, takes place in Rome where Ezio moves with his family after his uncle is killed by Cesare Borgia. Cesare is the son of Rodrigo Borgia and he attacks Monteriggioni in the beginning of the game. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood features 6 Shop Quest Rewards. Each reward will unlock a better item than the one used by Ezio when the game starts. If Ezio completes the "Exotica Quest" given by the blacksmith, he will be able to use the Seusenhofer Pauldrons and Chest Guards. The blacksmith will also give the Spada Lunga to Ezio if he successfully finishes the "Blood Money Quest". Ezio can also equip a large quiver if he completes the "Pulling Threads Quest" from the local tailor. The Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Guild Rewards are unlocked at Ezio’s Hideout but the player must level-up the guilds in order to obtain most of them. When Ezio’s guilds reach level 2 the player will receive the "Courtesans Guild Crest", the "Thieves Guild Crest" and the "Mercenaries Guild Crest". If every guild gets to level 3, Ezio will be able to use Maria’s Dagger, La Volpe’s Bite and Bartolomeo’s Axe.
