Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer Walkthrough

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is an action video game developed by Ubisoft. For the single player mode, see the walkthrough for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/113/1134821p2.html

The game is the third part of the Assassin’s Creed series and the first one with an online multiplayer. The multiplayer features four different modes: Wanted Mode, Advanced Wanted Mode, Manhunt and Alliance. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/113/1134821p2.html

Story

The multiplayer is based on the story of the single player. In the multiplayer, however, you are playing as the “enemy”. You take control of templars during their training period at Abstergo Industries, in which they use the animi to access memories and acquire assassination skills. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/113/1134821p2.html

Gameplay

The Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood multiplayer features four different modes: Wanted Mode, Advanced Wanted Mode, Manhunt and Alliance.

  • During Wanted you are assigned assassination target’s, who are played by other players. At the same time, you are the assassination target of other players. The key is to blend in with the environment to stay undiscovered and then quickly and silently assassinate your target.
  • Advanced Wanted Mode is very similar to Wanted Mode. The difference between the two is that in Advanced Wanted your radar is less accurate. Therefore, it is much harder to identify your target.
  • In Manhunt you play in a team. The mode has two periods that are timed and consists of two teams. During one period your team is assigned with assassination targets of the other team. During the other period, your team plays the targets.
  • Alliance is team based as well. Three teams, each with two players, compete against each other. You need to work with your team member to protect each other and assassinate your targets of one team, while being hunted by the other team.

Throughout the multiplayer, you can earn points and achieve higher levels, which will provide you with special abilities that are useful during gameplay and provide an advantage. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/113/1134821p2.html

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer - Wanted Tips

Description:

The goal is to assassinate your target. At the same time, someone else will be assigned to kill you.

Recommended actions for highest points:

  • - Incognito kill (+300): Kill your target without using high profile. Walking fast is allowed.
  • - Silent kill (+200): Stay out of high profile while near your target.
  • - Poison kill (+200): Kill your target with poison (available at level 29).
  • - Stun (+200): Stun your pursuer.
  • - Escape (+100): Escape your pursuer.
  • - Variety (+200): Earn 5 different bonuses. For example: Incognito + Silent + Poison + Stun + Escape.

Strategy tips:

Your main goal should be to kill. However, simply running to your target and killing will earn you low points and will draw attention to you. To do best during wanted mode, I suggest the following:

  • - Blend in. Walk within groups of people or look-a-likes.
  • - Do not run or climb. You should try to move as a computer controlled character would move, unless you are chasing your target or escaping your pursuer. Should you see people run or climb, it is another player. Furthermore, your target will be alarmed when you run towards it, allowing it to escape.
  • - Be patient. An incognito kill will earn you the most points. Approach your targets slowly and discreetly.
  • - Use your abilities wisely.
  • - Watch out for your pursuer. Pursuers usually follow you, head straight towards you, run or climb.
  • - Stun your pursuer. If you suspect your pursuer near you, throw a smoke bomb and stun him. Never try to stun your pursuer without using a smoke bomb
  • - Watch the pursuer display. Do not bother wasting time hiding from your pursuer, if nobody is on you.
  • - Use poison if possible. Be aware that you have to almost touch your target to use poison and should your target suspect anything, it usually has time to stun you.
  • - Run and escape or throw a smoke bomb should you be alarmed of your pursuer.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer - Advanced Wanted Tips

Description:

Available at level 12.

The goal is to assassinate your target. At the same time, someone else will be assigned to kill you. The difference to regular Wanted Mode is that it is harder to identify your target, because your compass is less accurate. It does not tell you whether your target is above or below you and it only specifies a broad area for your targets location.

Recommended actions for highest points:

  • - Incognito kill (+300): Kill your target without using high profile.
  • - Silent kill (+200): Stay out of high profile while near your target.
  • - Poison kill (+200): Kill your target with the ability poison (available at level 29).

To do best during Advanced Wanted, I suggest the following:

  • - Blend in. Walk within groups of people or look-a-likes. This is especially useful during Advanced Wanted, since your pursuer will have a hard time identifying you.
An incognito kill will earn you the most points and is the most effective way of killing in Advanced Wanted. Approach your targets slowly and discreetly. Take your time and look for clues that give away your targets location.
  • - Use your abilities wisely.
  • - Watch out for your pursuer. Pursuers usually follow you, head straight towards you, run or climb.
  • - Stun your pursuer. If you suspect your pursuer near you, throw a smoke bomb and stun him. Never try to stun your pursuer without using a smoke bomb or mute.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer - Alliance Tips

Description:

Alliance is divided into two rounds and three teams. Each team has two members and during each round you have to kill your targets as well as hide from your pursuers. It is basically a mix of Manhunt and Wanted.

Recommended actions for highest points:

  • - Incognito kill (+300): Kill your target without using high profile.
  • - Silent kill (+200): Stay out of high profile while near your target.

Your goals should be to kill and to stun. To do best during Alliance, I suggest the following:

  • - Do not run or climb. You should try to move as a computer controlled character would move, unless you are chasing your target or escaping your pursuer. Should you see people run or climb, it is another player. Furthermore, your target will be alarmed when you run towards it, allowing it to escape.
  • - Be patient. An incognito kill will earn you the most points. Approach your targets slowly and discreetly. Take your time and look for clues that give away your targets location.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer - Miscellaneous Tips

  • - Set up your profiles. The right profile can make a big difference in winning or losing. Therefore, set up as many different profiles as possible that give you an advantage during the different modes. By reaching higher levels you will be able to set up additional profiles. The maximum number of profiles will be 5.
  • - Watch your compass. Your compass will be full when you are close to your target and will light up when your target is in sight.
  • - During some matches you will face players who are destroying your strategy, because they are simply running/climbing around or killing your target before you. I usually recommend sticking to your strategy and be patient. These people will receive low points for playing like that. Sometimes however, it may be necessary to kill silently instead of incognito.
  • - Sometimes you are lucky and targets run right into you. At other times you are unlucky and targets are far away from you and you walk right into your pursuer.
  • - Study session scores of your opponents to improve your game.
  • - Once in a while, try and wait around the center of the map for your target. Chances are it might pass you allowing for an easy kill.
