  • Synopsis

    Assassination of a High School President, also known as The Sophomore is a comedy film that premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. It follows two high school students, Funke (Reece Thompson) and Clara (Melonie Diaz) as they try to discover what has happened to missing SAT exams, which were stolen from the principle's safe during a basketball game. Funke is attempting to obtain a scholarship from Northwestern, which he will be unable to do without the SAT scores. Clara is the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper. During their investigation, a huge conspiracy is uncovered within the school, revealing the Student Body President was responsible for the theft.
