  • Reproduction

    The Asian female reaches sexual maturity at age 12. After a gestation period of about twenty-two months she will give birth to a 250 lb baby. She will reproduce on average about every four to six years.   • Endangered Asian Elephants

    Due to Asia's population growth elephants are being pushed out of their natural habitat. They raid fields and destroy crops in order to obtain food. This causes many farmers to shoot them on sight.
