Ashley Spivey, a nanny from Ellerbe, North Carolina, received the first-impression rose on the first episode of season 15 of The Bachelor. In her interview with ABC for the her biography page, Ashley Spivey identified her sister as the person she most admired based on all she has been through. Spivey lost her father suddenly two years before the show was filmed, and also mentioned her family when asked what she would want with her if stranded on a deserted island. When Ashley Spivey met Brad Womack in the season 15 opening episode of The Bachelor, she was in the company of 29 other contestants vying for his final rose this time around. Womack is the only bachelor candidate from previous seasons who did not choose a lady for a continued relationship. ABC describes the elimination competition as a bachelor party and says it puts a whole new spin on double dating. Some dates during the competition are one-on-one, but others are group dates with the girls competing to get the attention of the bachelor. At the end of each show, someone goes home. • Week 3 - January 17, 2011: This week Ashley Spivey was the first lady invited for a single date with Womack.  The two went to a recording studio where they sang a song together. When first hearing what they would doing Ashley S. was concerned because she did not typically sign around others. • Week 4 - January 24, 2011: Along with eight other women, Ashley S, joined Brad Womack on a group date with a radio talk show host for a session of honest discussions. • Week 5 - January 31, 2011: Ashley Spivey didn't make it past week five of The Bachelor. Even though she was the girl who received the first-impression rose, she was not given a rose in this episode and went home.  Known as Ashley S. throughout the show, she was sent on a two-on-one date with Brad Womack and the other Ashely (Ashley H.) during this episode, with only one of them being allowed to continue pursuing Womack.
