Ashley Harkleroad is an American tennis player.
In 1999 she debuted at the ITF tournament in Largo, Florida. On June 12, 2000 she turned professional.
In 2003 she defeated 20 players, and this became her breakthrough year. She lost only 11 games before reaching the semifinal. She lost to Justine Henin-Hardenne.
After Venus Williams withdrew from the Hopman Cup in 2007, Harkleroad was selected to play. She partnered up with Mardy Fish] but lost the competition.
At the 2008 French Open she lost in the first round to Serena Williams.

At the 2008 French Open, Harkleroad told reporters that she recently posed for August edition of Playboy magazine. The magazine is expected to come out in the middle of July 2008.
When she was recovering from surgery to remove an ovarian cyst, she was called and was offered to be in the magazine.
