Newly engaged Ashlee Simpson was seen showing off her engagement ring in April, 2008 in New York City.

Similar to when other couples announce their engagement, shortly after the news broke rumors began swirling that Simpson may be pregnant. In several interviews following the engagement announcement, Simpson would neither confirm nor deny the pregnancy rumors. In a separate interview, Wentz denied Simpson was with child.
