World Record
Asafa Powell will compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He finished in fifth place in the 100 meter dash at the 2004 games. Although Powell has not won a major international title, he has broken the world record numerous times. Powell broke his own record in the IAAF Grand Prix with a time of 9.74 seconds.
