  • Attractions

Like many islands in the Caribbean, the beaches are the prime attraction. The island is relatively small and can be explored in a day or two with the help of a tour guide or on your own with a four-wheel drive vehicle. The California Lighthouse should be a stop when touring the island because the elevation it's at offers a "picture perfect view" of Aruba's coastline and a "spectacular" sunset at dawn.

The Natural Pool is also a must-see and a must-do when in Aruba. It's an amazing work of nature that involves a "unique formation of rock" that makes up a pool of water in a part of the island that is almost "secluded." It seems to be the perfect spot for swimming or just exploring.

  • Cuisine

Considering the size of the island, Aruba has a large amount of places to dine. Many offer patrons an Aruban menu, but there are also the convenient fast food chains that the United States has, such as Taco Bell, Wendy's and Pizza Hut. If you're looking for the authentic thing, try Iguana Joe's in Oranjestad.
