The body of boxer Arturo Gatti was reportedly exhumed at the request of his family on July 31, 2009. A second autopsy reportedly revealed previously unmentioned injuries, showing clues that the death may have been a homicide. An official cause of death is not expected until toxicology tests are completed.
Gatti was found dead in Brazil on July 11, 2009, while vacationing with his wife Amanda Rodriguez. The death was ruled a suicide, however family members believe he would never take his own life and suspect Rodriguez may be to blame.
