During a restoration of Streeton's Spring in 2007, an image of a nude woman was found on the canvas underneath the the painting. The figure was accompanied by love notes to "Florry".News.com.au: Florry It was determined that Florry was the younger sister of an art school friend of Streeton's. There is no indication that Florry, whose full name was Florry Walker, and Streeton actually had a romantic relationship. She was from a well-to-do family, and he was a young artist at the time.CBCNews.ca: Love Notes(June 12, 2007)
