Art Smith is a chef, author, television personality and restaurateur. Smith was Oprah Winfrey's personal chef for more than a decade, and makes frequent appearances on her television program.
He also is a regular contributor to O, The Oprah Magazine. Smith has also opened his own restaurant, Table Fifty-Two, in Chicago, Illinois.
Career
After graduating from Florida State University, Art Smith began his career with two internships at The Greenbrier Resort and then was selected to attend the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom College Program.
After graduation Smith took the position of chef for Governor Bob Graham and continued cooking for celebrities and politicians. After traveling through Europe and Africa as a family chef he took the position as chef for American European Express Train.
After settling in Chicago, he served as a event chef for Martha Stewart Living Magazine then moving on in 1997 to be the personal chef for Oprah Winfrey for 10 years.
He has went on to open his own restaurant Table Fifty-Two in 2007 and writes for O, The Oprah Magazine. He has appeared many times on The Oprah Winfrey Show and made appearances on The Today Show as well as other shows.
