Arrested Development are a Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group from Atlanta, Georgia. With the public itching for a positive alternative to the Gangsta Rap that had dominated Hip-Hop in the early 1990s, the group hit it big with their debut album 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of... - which spawned the hit singles "Tennessee", "People Everyday", and "Mr. Wendal." After the band's second album was poorly received, the band broke up in 1996 before reuniting four years later.
