  • Army of Two: The 40th Day, the sequel to Army of Two, is an upcoming third person shooter developed by EA Montreal and published by Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Portable.
  • About the Story

Following the story of Army of Two, The 40th Day brings back Salem and Rios as the two main characters the player will be utilizing. The main campaign starts when an attack is waged on Shanghai, China which coincides with the two main characters staying in the very same city.

In contrast to the first game, which was more hunt-and-destroy in style, The 40th Day features a plot that is more focused on escaping a city on the verge of meltdown than searching for a seemingly endless list of bad guys.IGN: The 40th Day Preview

  • The 40th Day Gameplay

While the first Army of Two title was already specifically geared towards co-op gameplay, The 40th Day promises to expand on those features even further.

Like the first game, players will need to rely on each other (or an A.I. counterpart) to effectively make it through the missions. When one player is firing upon the enemies and posing a greater threat, the other character will be more free to try stealth attacks or pick enemies off without being noticed.

The developers objective is to make it feel as though the player has just one friend in the game world and, because of this, they must be careful to both protect them, and be protected by them.1up: The 40th Day Preview
