- If you are playing co-op, one of you will be controlling the parachute, while the other will be able to shoot.
- Shoot the helicopter down below with your sniper rifle.
- Tip: Aim for the tail rotor and fire until the helicopter starts spinning wildly.
- Use your sniper rifle to pick off as many guys as you can while you're still in the air.
- Go back to back and waste everyone.
- Note: See the guys running directly at you with no guns in their hands? Shoot them in the chest before they can get close to you.
- Clear out the rest of the area, then head into the cave.
- Use the big rock near where you landed for cover. Be aware that your enemy likes to do this too, so you may need to go around both sides and catch them in a pincer.

Afghanistan: Caves
- Clear out the path and watch out for the turret on your right.
- Have your partner distract the turret while you work around to the side.
- Tip: There are a few hidden explosives around. Use your GPS to find them, then shoot them.
- Use the sandbag emplacement at the bottom of the hill for cover if your partner is advancing on the turret.
- Plant a charge on the missile and get back.
- TIP: Behind the gun turret, there is a small path leading up the wall. Follow it to get the first briefcase.
- Kick down the gate.
- Step-jump up the ledge.
- Clear the room of enemies. There are a few barriers and a couple vehicles about, so use them as cover and work around them to take down the enemies. They tend to scatter, so you'll need to take them out one at a time.
- Tip: Beware of enemies hiding in the tents.
- Leave the room and head to the ledge overlooking a chasm. There should be a parachute there, which you will automatically use.
- Avoid the canyon walls and snipe as many enemies as you can before you get too close to them.
- Note: As soon as you fire the first shot, nearby enemies will be alerted to your presence. Make every shot count.
- If you're on parachute duty, don't bother trying to avoid enemy fire. Just stay away from the canyon walls.
- Note: You may encounter a bug in the PS3 version of the game which prohibits you from using the Sixaxis function to maneuver through the canyon. If this happens, pause the game, go into the options menu and disable the Sixaxis function. This will allow you to use the D-Pad to maneuver.

Afghanistan: Facility

- Go back to back again when you hit the ground. Beware of guys hiding behind the crates.
- Head down the stairs and plant a charge on the missile.
- Go back upstairs and destroy everything you see. There are a lot of enemies here, but plenty of cover to be had. Each landing on the stairs has cover, so try and take out as many enemies above you as you can before you advance.
- Follow the path and take out the heavy soldier waiting for you. Make sure you've eliminated all other enemies first before you take on the heavy soldiers. One of you will need to gain full aggro while the other does nothing, then sneaks around behind the heavy soldier. Be aware that there is little cover at the top where the heavy soldier is.
- Tip: Go back down the stairs if you need more room to get around the heavy soldier.
- Tip: Watch out for more mines around here.
- Use your GPS to find the glowing door.
- TIP: Turn around and look for the path that was destroyed by the missile blast. Go around to the right of it and look for the second briefcase.
- Open the big door and head inside.
- Keep following the GPS path until you find the other soldier, Hicks. Grab a shield if you like and stick to cover. Don't worry, you don't have to carry the wounded Hicks.
- Leave the room you found Hicks in and take a left.
- Go to the end of the hall and look to your right for the final Afghanistan briefcase.
- Go back the way you came and continue down that path.
- Clear out the room full of enemies (you'll know it when you find it.) The trick here is to let the enemies come to you. There will be a seemingly endless stream of them, but they will eventually run out, leaving just the two of you and two turrets. Just stay behind the cement walls and eliminate enemies as they come around the corners.
- Use the crates as cover while you advance on the turrets.
- Head up the stairs and get in the elevator.
- Move through the tunnels quickly and take out the guy in the turret. The corridor is tight here and the covered areas are mostly in the gas deposits. These will kill you if you stay there too long. Move past the gas deposit and there will be a small alcove on each side of the tunnel. Use these as cover while you eliminate the enemies and gain aggro on the turret.
- Note: Your characters will make mention of gas buildup here. If you stay in the hazy area too long, you will begin to take damage.
- Use the turret to clear the hallway to the right. Watch for enemies using the fallen furniture as cover.
- Clear the rest of the hallways and look for the stairs. There aren't a lot of enemies here, but there isn't much cover either. Use the doorways and wall corners as cover.
- Head upstairs.

Boss Fight: Al Habib
- YouTube: Army of Two - Afghanistan - Killing Al Habiib (Time: 3:45)
- Take out his cronies as you would anyone else. They're just regular grunts, nothing special. Stay in the entrance corridor to take them out.
- Stay at long range. Al Habib has a flame thrower that causes quite a bit of damage. He also has a shotgun, so close-range combat with him is very ill-advised.
- Have one person gain a strong amount of aggro on him, then get behind him and blast away at his head.
- Trade off being the aggro magnet. This will keep him off balance and may prevent him from advancing on you.
- Move around the structure in the center of the area to keep him at long range.
- Tip: Shoot at his front as little as possible. He is heavily armored and shooting him in the front is a waste of time unless you need to gain aggro.
- Head into the room behind him once he's dead.
- Plant a charge and clear out.
