The annual contest between the NCAA Football programs at the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy has been played over 100 times dating back to 1890 and each-consecutive year since 1930. During the 2010 college football season, the Navy Midshipmen faced the Army Black Knights on December 11, 2010, at Lincoln Financial Field. Navy won the game 31-17, extending their winning streak over the Black Knights to nine consecutive games. Quarterback Ricky Dobbs of the Midshipmen, playing in his final Army-Navy Game, threw the longest pass in the 111 year history of the Army-Navy game. It was a 77 yard touchdown pass to John Howell. To close out the 2010 college football season, Army will play in the Armed Forces Bowl against Southern Methodist University (SMU) on December 30, 2010. Navy will face San Diego State University in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23. President's Game
In a tradition started in 1901 by President Theodore Roosevelt, the Army-Navy Game traditionally hosts the President of the United States of America and has been nicknamed the "President's Game." In 2009, the Army Navy Game was held on December 12 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Army entered the game with a 5-6 record while Navy entered at 8-4. 2010 Army-Navy Game

One of the featured events during the ceremony was a flyover by Apache helicopters and fighter jets over the field of play. This was the 111th playing of the Army-Navy Game.
