During the 2010 college football season, the Navy Midshipmen faced the Army Black Knights on December 11, 2010, at Lincoln Financial Field. Navy won the game 31-17, extending their winning streak over the Black Knights to nine consecutive games. Quarterback Ricky Dobbs of the Midshipmen, playing in his final Army-Navy Game, threw the longest pass in the 111 year history of the Army-Navy game. It was a 77 yard touchdown pass to John Howell. To close out the 2010 college football season, Army will play in the Armed Forces Bowl against Southern Methodist University (SMU) on December 30, 2010.
