Armored Core 4 is the fourth title in the Armored Core series on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 which has a futuristic setting. It is considered both a Simulation and Action game comparable to MechWarrior and Chromehounds where players have the ability to customize their machines for combat.

1. Bernard and Felix Foundation: Defense contractor that specializes in long range warfare.
2. Eqball: Armored Core units tend to be lightweight and high maneuverable but with very little armor. Their quickness makes them great for close-range combat.
3. Global Armaments: An integrated defense contractor known for slow moving heavy weaponry with strong artillery
4. Leonemeccanica: A coalition of smaller European defense firms, weapons tend to be high energy and technicall advanced
5. Rayleonard: A Canadian energy company that specializes in fast agile AC units.
6. Rosenthal: Firm was formed from a large global corporation, their weapons tend to be well balanced and versatile.
