Armand Van Helden is a house music record producer, DJ and recording artist.
Career
Armand Van Helden began DJing in 1988 and soon nabbed a residency at The Loft, one Boston's top clubs. Around this time, he released his first single on Nervous Records.
His first commercial success was the track "Witch Doktor". It reached #4 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play in 1994. This was followed by the hit singles "Cha Cha" and "The Funk Phenomena" in 1996 and "U Don't Know Me" in 1999.
Van Helden has remixed songs for The Rolling Stones, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Daft Punk and Puff Daddy.
