Columnist Arriana Huffington is a nationally syndicated writer and politcal commentator, as well as the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Ms. Huffington has written nearly a dozen books, the latest of which is titled Right is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe. In 2006 she was named in Time Magazine's list of the world's most influential people.

Huffington was born Arianna Stassinopoulos on July 15, 1950 in Athens, Greece. She attended Cambridge University before moving to the United States in 1980. Originally and ideological conservative, Huffington began to espouse more liberal views in the 1990s. Huffington married multimillionaire Michael Huffington in 1985 before the couple moved to Washington, D.C., when Michael Huffington was appointed to the Department of Defense. The two were divorced in 1997. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her two daughters.Gubernatorial Campaign
Huffington ran to replace Gray Davis as governor of California during the state's 2003 recall election. She dropped out of the race in September, 2003 in order to help defeat Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign. Schwarzenegger eventually won the recall election.Latest Projects
Huffington co-founded the liberal blog The Huffington Post, which launched in 2005. The blog attracts contributors such as Harry Shearer and Larry David. She also participates on KCRW's Left, Right and Center political talk show.-
