  • Arcade Fire is an indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada whose debut album Funeral catapulted them to fame in 2004. Their second album, Neon Bible, was released in early 2007 and premiered at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 charts.
  • Background

Arcade Fire started in 1995 as the husband-wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. After assembling a band of eclectic and versatile musicians, the band released their debut album Funeral in 2004. The album was universally acclaimed and led to the band being asked to tour with David Bowie. After touring extensively in support of the album and wading through a sea of effusive praise, the band went into the studio to record their follow-up album.
  • The Box

In May 2008, Win Butler stated on his blog that Arcade Fire "is NOT doing the soundtrack to any film", and that "they would only do a song or two if they could peel themselves away from reading books and watering houseplants." However, in December 2008, Butler revealed that the band had composed the entire score for The Box.Dose.ca: Band Scoring Richard Kelly's New Movie After All (December 22, 2008)
  • Neon Bible

Neon Bible was released in 2007 and quickly shot to #2 on the Billboard music charts. After a performance on Saturday Night Live, the band continued to tour to support the album, even making a guest appearance at a Bruce Springsteen show in Ottawa.
