Arabian Horse

The Arabian horse is one of the most popular breed of horses in the world and is used for endurance, horse racing, jumping, dressage and ranch work.

History

The lineage of the Arabian horse dates back at least 4,500 years ago where it was bred by the nomadic Bedouin people and used for travel, war and survival in the deserts of the Middle East.Arabian Horse Association: [1]

Characteristics

The Arabian has a strong constitution due to years of breeding in arid, harsh desert climates. Large lung and sinus capacity and short backs with densely packed muscles and bones combined with a refined wedge-shaped head and high-set tail, make the Arabian a unique combination of stamina and beauty.Arabian Horse Association: [1]
