Aquarius is the eleventh astrological sign of the zodiac. It originated from the constellation Aquarius. It is represented by the symbol of the water bearer. Aquarius is an air sign and is also considered masculine and fixed. The sign covers the period from January 21st to February 21st. Though originally Aquarius' ruling planet was Saturn, since the discovery of Uranus this has been adopted as its ruling planet. In mythology Aquarius is associated with the mythological figure of Odysseus. Personality traits of Aquarians include; obstinacy, far-sightedness, conceit, inventiveness, idealism, friendliness and altruism. Compatible signs are Gemini, Libra, Aries, Sagittarius, and Leo.
