  • On the May 14, 2008, episode of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert complained that a species of spider had been named after Neil Young (Myrmekiaphila Neilyoungi), while he had not been granted such an honor. Two months later, Colbert interviewed Jason Bond—the scientist who had named the spider for Young—and was offered a spider of his own, "Aptostichus Stephencolberti."
