Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar is the largest casual dining restaurant chain in the world. Applebee's restaurants serve a variety of American fare, including hamburgers, steaks, salads, soups, desserts and chicken and pasta dishes. Their restaurants also feature a full bar.

Coupons, discounts and special promotions can occasionally be found on Applebee's official website. However, more frequently, Applebee's coupons can be found online and in local newspapers in cities where the restaurants are located.

Recently, people have been contacting the company to ask about free gift card offers they have participated in online or received in their e-mail. The company's response is to avoid offers that seem "too good to be true" and to only purchase gift cards at their restaurant locations or their official online store.

• Applebee's offers special promotions that can add up to big savings on your meals, including the "2 for $20" deal. Customers can choose one appetizer and two specially-priced entrees for $20. The deal doesn't include tax, gratuity or drink prices.  

• Certain Applebee's restaurants may occasionally offer printable coupons for several dollars off on certain menu items. These coupons are usually only good at certain restaurant locations.

• The company runs occasional offers where customers purchase one gift card and receive a second, lower-valued gift card free. For example, during the holiday season, they have offered a bonus $10 gift card whenever people ordered a $50 gift card as a present.
  

• Occasionally, Applebee's coupons can be found on online coupon websitesc or on eBay. Pay special attention to the expiration dates on these coupons or gift certificates to make sure they are still valid.

In November 2009, Applebee's offered free food to veterans and active duty military members on Veterans Day. Participants only needed to provide proof of military service to take advantage of this offer.

In 2010, Applebee's launched their new Under 550 Calories menu. The menu consists of five new items: grilled shrimp and rice, Asiago peppercorn steak, grilled Dijon chicken and portobellos, spicy shrimp diavolo and Asian crunch salad. All of the Under 550 Calorie menu items were priced below $10.50, but this has since changed.
