  • Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill has almost 2,000 restaurants and is the world's largest casual dining chain. It sells American-style fare like nachos, riblets and salads and also serves alcohol. Applebee's is decorated with a mish mash of Americana objects, from license plates to sporting equipment. Applebee's pioneered the "fast-casual" business model. While a sit-down restaurant with table service (they also offer to-go service), the food is prepared quickly, almost as fast as at a fast food chain.
