In this video, Mahalo technology expert Sean Hewitt explains how to view the application permissions for an Android platform 2.3 phone.
Viewing App Permissions
Installing a New Application:
1. In the Android Marketplace, select an application that you want to install.
2. On the application's page, tap the Free button under Install.
3. The page will display information about the application. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select More.
4. The page will list all of the permissions required for the application. These are the areas on your phone that the application will have access to once you install it. For an Installed Application:
1. To see the permissions of an application that's already installed, go to Menu --> Settings --> Applications.
2. Select Manage Applications and then select the application you want to view.
3. In the application's information window, scroll down the the Permissions section. This will display the permissions that the application requires on your phone. References
