Apollo 12 was the the second manned mission to the Moon, as part of NASA's Apollo Program. The ship was commanded by Pete Conrad, who became the third person in history to walk on the Moon. The launch of Apollo 12 almost ran into serious problems as after the ship was hit by lightning seconds after launch.
