Apocalypto is a 2006 movie produced and written by Mel Gibson. It is set in Mexico's, Yucatan Peninsula and it depicts the experiences of one man, Jaguar Paw, during the decline of the ancient Mayan civilization.
Plot Summary
The story is set during the time of the ancient Mayans, a tribe of natives is enslaved by barbarians. A member of the tribe, Jaguar Paw, was able to hide his family but ended up being captured and forced to fight his way to his freedom and his family's safety.
