1978 Camp David Peace Agreement
After twelve days of negotiations, Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin signed a peace treaty involving the two countries on September 17, 1978. During the negotiations, moderated by President Jimmy Carter, two agreements were established: A Framework for Peace in the Middle East and A Framework for the Conclusion of a Peace Treaty between Egypt and Israel.
