  • Career Highlights

    Prior to his NHL career Miettinen played for the HPK Hameenlinna in the SM-liiga, the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. He was then drafted 224th overall in the 2000 NHL Draft by the Dallas Stars. He continued to play in Finland until making his NHL debut with the Stars in 2003. Miettinen played in the American Hockey League for the Hamilton Bulldogs during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, then returned to the Stars. Following the lockout Miettinen re-signed with the Stars to a two year contract, which was later extended through the 2007-08 season on July 30, 2007.
