Antonio McDyess is a power forward for the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association. He was waived by the Denver Nuggets on November 10, 2000 after being dealt by the Pistons for Allen Iverson. Early Life
Antonio Keithflen McDyess was born in Quitman, Mississippi and attended Quitman High School. He continued his education at the University of Alabama. McDyess was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers with the second pick in the 1995 NBA Draft. Basketball-Reference.com: Antonio McDyess
Pro Career
McDyess was traded by the Clippers to the Denver Nuggets in 1995. In his first season, McDyess averaged 13.4 points and 7.5 rebounds. In 1997, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. He returned to the Nuggets the following season. In 2001, McDyess appeared in his only All-Star game. He was traded to the New York Knicks and then to the Phoenix Suns in 2003. On November 3, 2008, ESPN's Ric Bucher reported that the Detroit Pistons will trade McDyess to the Denver Nuggets with Chauncey Billups for Allen Iverson.
