Anti-Flag is a punk band that is characterized for possessing music that differs of political ideologies, racism, religion, nationalism, and fascism.
The Band was founded in 1988 but fell apart by 1989. In 1993 original members, Justin Sane and Pat Thetic revamped the band and added Andy Flag as a Bassist.
In 1996 they released their debut album Die for the Government and in that same year Andy Flag left the band due to a dispute with Justin Sane. The CD booklet bids farewell to Flag.
Between 1997 and 2002, the band released four more albums as well as added Guitarist, Chris Head and Bassist, Chris Barker (also known as Chris # 2) to the band line up.

In response to the attacks, the band released their sixth studio album, The Terror State. In this album the group attacked the Bush administration and the War on Terrorism.
In 2005 they signed with label RCA and released their seventh studio album, For Blood and Empire. Their Fans as well as critics have criticized the group for leaving their independent roots and signing with a major record label.
Their latest album, The Bright Lights of America is scheduled to be released in April of 2008. The single from this album, The Bright Lights of America, was released on iTunes on February 12, 2008 and can be heard on the bands official MySpace page.
