Anthony D. Weiner is a Democratic politician from New York, currently serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Weiner appeared on the MSNBC show Morning Joe on August 18, 2009, to defend President Obama's controversial health care plan. This video focuses on Anthony Weiner's tirade against Republicans who blocked a bill to give aid to 9/11 rescue workers in addition to survivors of the attack. The bill, H.R. 847, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, would provide monitoring and treatment for those health workers and survivors which were exposed to toxins at Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks in 2001. He spends much of his time on the floor responding to others who are trying to have him yield his time and leave the floor instead of making his argument. He was quite vocal in his stance against those who were trying to delay the vote instead of just voting one way or the other.

Weiner began in politics working on the staff of Chuck Schumer. In 1998, Schumer was elected to the Senate and Weiner ran for and won his former position as Congressional representative.
On May 28, 2008, Weiner admitted that he was dating Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
