Anthony Stewart began his career playing junior hockey for the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In four seasons with the Frontenacs, he posted 238 points on 118 goals and 120 assists in 248 games. During the 2002-03 season, his second with the Frontenacs, he led the team in goals and points and ranked third in assists. The following season, he logged 58 points on 35 goals and 38 assists in 68 games, and in five playoff appearances scored three goals on four assists.
