Early Life
Anthony Parker was born in Naperville, Illinois on June 19, 1975. He attended high school at Central in Illinois. He continued his education at Bradley University. Parker was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the 21st pick in the 1997 NBA Draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Anthony ParkerPro Career
During the draft, Parker was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Parker played for two seasons with the Sixers, then he was traded to the Orlando Magic. In 2000, he was released by Orlando. Parker was unable to sign with another NBA team and he decided to play in Europe. He returned to the NBA after several seasons playing overseas. In 2006, he was signed by the Toronto Raptors and in the 2007-2008 season, Parker started all 82 games for the franchise, averaging 12.5 points and 4.1 rebounds a game.NBA.com: Anthony ParkerAnthony Parker Timeline
