Anthony Mix is a National Football League wide receiver who most recently was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mix was indicted on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, after allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl. After the indictment, Mix was released by the Buccaneers.ProFootballTalk.com: Buccaneers Cut Indicted Receiver
Football Career
After playing college football with the Auburn Tigers, Mix signed an an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in 2006. He played the first season strictly with the Giants' practice squad, then earned a roster spot in 2007. Joining the Giants for for games in the 2007 season, Mix recorded three receptions for 39 yards.
In November fo 2007, Mix was cut and signed with the Washington Redskins. He went on to play in five games in 2007 with the Redskins, but did not record a single reception, playing primarily on special teams. In the 2008 season, Mix played in three preseason games with the Redskins, then was sidelined with a broken rib. He was then released by the team and did not play during the 2008 regular season. Mix signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January of 2009, but was cut just over two months later.
