    Anthony Mackie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Julliard to pursue acting training, and since graduation he has had steady work in Television, film, and on stage.

    In the spring of 2008, Mackie starred in three plays by August Wilson at the Kennedy Center. He also starred in two projects directed by Spike Lee; Sucker Free City and She Hate Me.
