Anthony Davis is a professional football player for the San Francisco 49ers. He was drafted by the team as the eleventh overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.http://www.nfl.com/draft/2010/live/landing He played his college years at Rutgers University. Davis plays offensive guard, and is considered one of the best prospects at his position in the entire draft. A three-year starter at Piscataway High School in New Jersey, Davis was listed as the fifth-best offensive guard high school prospect by Rivals.com.

Davis became the first No. 1 recruit from New Jersey to play for Rutgers coach Greg Schiano. Davis received offers from more than 50 colleges, eventually narrowing his list to Rutgers and Ohio State. He played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl following his senior season in high school and USA Today named him to its first first team All-American squad. Following the St. Petersburg Bowl on December 22, 2009, the 6-6, 325-pounder announced he would forgo his senior season at Rutgers to end the NFL draft. Davis became the third straight Rutgers star to bypass his senior year, following wide receiver Kenny Britt (first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2009) and running back Ray Rice (second-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2008). Most mock drafts project Davis as a mid-to-late first-rounder, meaning he will likely become the highest-drafted player in school history. Britt, the only first-rounder Rutgers has produced, went 30th overall. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2009/12/rutgers_lt_anthony_davis.html
