Anthony Becht

Anthony Becht is a National Football League tight end who plays for the Arizona Cardinals. He came to the Cardinals in 2009 after stints with the [[St. Louis Rams}}, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets.

The Jets originally drafted Becht in the first round of the 2000 NFL draft, with the 27th selection overall. Becht played college football at West Virginia University. He finished second on the school's all-time receptions list by a tight end with 83 receptions for 1,173 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned second-team All-Big East Conference honors his junior and senior seasons.

Becht was an all-city, all-Catholic Conference and all-county selection as a senior at Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, after recording 47 catches for 693 yards. 2009 Season

Becht played in all 16 games for Arizona, starting 10. He finished with seven receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown for the season. Becht recorded a single reception in 10 different games. His longest catch was a 16-yard effort in a 31-17 Cardinals victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 20. As a member of the St. Louis Rams, Becht played in all 16 games, starting 11. He finished the season with six receptions for 39 yards, with a long of 11 yards in a 27-3 loss to the Chicago Bears on November 23. 2007 Season

Becht played the last of his three season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneeers. He played in all 16 games, starting two. Becht had five receptions for 20 yards on the season. His best game came in a 37-3 Bucs win over the Atlanta Falcons on December 16, in which he had two receptions for 10 yards and a touchdown.
