Antawn Jamison is a professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association. In his twelve NBA seasons, Jamison has played for the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks, the Washington Wizards and currently he plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Antwan Jamison has mostly made his game off his ability to shoot the three and his unorthodox shot selection. Jamison specializes in underhanded scoop shoots, off balance runners and awkward-looking floaters. His unique shooting style makes Antawn Jamison a very tough cover for the opposing team’s defense.
Throughout his career, Antawn Jamison has been able to average nearly twenty points and eight rebounds per game. For any NBA player, that’s very good. While he’s been shipped around to four NBA teams, Antawn Jamison has always been heralded as a class act and a first class teammate. He’s still looking for a taste of championship success, but at the end of the day, Antawn Jamison will be able to hang his hat of the fact that he was always considered one of the good guys in NBA. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/antawn_jamison/career_stats.html
Pro Career
Jamison was the fourth overall pick in the 1998 draft and was the 2004 Sixth Man of the Year when he played for the Dallas Mavericks. Jamison’s always been a consistent player, but he’s also been one that his teams have been willing to trade. The big knock on Antawn Jamison is that his teams have never won much of anything with him among their ranks, as his latest stint with the Cavaliers can prove.
While Antawn Jamison has been the Sixth Man of the Year and an All-Star caliber player for nearly his entire career, he’s never won much. In 2010 the Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Jamison in hopes that he could provide LeBron James with a second option and a sidekick. Jamison never quite fit in with LeBron James and the Cavaliers, leading to a disappointing second round exit for the team. The future is uncertain for Jamison after this failure. He was supposed to be the missing piece for Cleveland, but now it appears as if the Cavaliers aren’t even close to being able to win a championship. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/antawn_jamison/bio.html
