The majority of dinosaurs have very small brains, relative to their body size.
Dog's capability to love is more than that of Elephant's.

Many types of birds mate for life. Why would the mechanism not be essentially identical to falling in love? Birds and dinosaurs are closely related. And, it really doesn't take a lot of brains to fall in love.
