your question...what is a good DSL service for rural areas?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It usually boils down to whatever is available. I live in a rural area and am glad to have Windstream DSL. Short of satellite service, it's the only high speed internet connection available to me.

We only have Wildblue available in our area. I would switch in a minute if I could because we are very limited in our bandwidth usage which is very annoying. Plus the service isn't even that great.

Clearwire. Satellite transmitted via modem for both phone service and high speed internet. I've had them for about a year now and I can say they have great clear phone service and reliable, fast internet and English speaking, courteous customer service. For both I pay 60 bucks a month.
