You have built a site better than your competitors. Now you need brand awareness. What is your next best step? (With a limited budget)

Can't find out how to pay money in paypal to give a tip
Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It depends a little on what type of site it is, but the next step is definitely marketing.

If it is a technical site, then it might be worthwhile to take out an ad in some technical journals in your field. If it is a dating site then you can get banner ads up on other singles sites.

I'm going to assume it is a shopping site that appeals to a wide range of customers. In this case, I think I would concentrate on one major metropolitan area at a time, and take out radio ads on the two largest radio stations in town, during the morning commute. Only people who are working and have disposable income are likely to be listening then. In the radio ad, explain what your site does and give the domain name, which is hopefully the same as your business name, and catchy. Get a customer or two to give a testimonial about how your site is better than the others she has tried, but don't let her say why. Let the customers come and determine for themselves why your site is better.

Once this ad has been running in the one city for awhile, it should make you enough profits to run it in another large city on the other side of the world, and so on.

Commuters are a captive audience for your radio advertisement.

Whats the products? Is it more useful for kids or adults?

The product sells better when its markets to the right audience and their comfort zone.

For kids to young adults (15-30) a good place to start is the Internet.

Let's take for example you product is a blender. Blender? How could you captivate an audience of young adults over a blender?
