Is there any way for Rock Band 1 owners to get the songs featured in Rock Band 2?

I assume there is no way to do so and that is how they get you to buy the new game, but it would be awesome to have access to the songs that come on the RB2 disc somehow, plus the bonus free song downloads that also accompany RB2.

From what I can find, no. The opposite (transferring all songs from Rock Band 1 over to Rock Band 2, including all DLC), is possible though:
