I found Rose's Diary near her sleeping mat after using Music Box. What does it do?

In the shack, just after activating the Music Box and making a wish and right before going to sleep, I found Rose's Diary near her sleeping mat but I don't see it mentioned here in the walk through.

You find her diary twice during the game, once at the very beginning during childhood and again at the end of the game. It's just for reading, to add to the story. The first time, it fills you in a little bit on what happened in your lives before the game began. The second time, you get to see what transpired in her life during the course of the game.

Fable 2 is a great game. Anyway, Rose's diary does not DO anything really. You may however read it and see that your life has been tough so far. I don't want to give it away if you haven't completed the storyline of the game but there is another Rose's diary that you may find later on. Feel free to direct question me for free about this if you want to know where (you only get one chance to find it).
