Does the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows (PC)" also work with the Xbox 360 or is just for PC use only?

I was specifically looking to buy this one:

Yes!

The controller is EXACTLY the same as the ones you use on your 360, really the only extra thing you are getting is the USB receiver for the computer.

All you have to do is use the sync button on the top of the controller to assign it either to the xbox 360 or the the USB receiver for the pc:

The web page you linked specifically says "Works across Microsoft's gaming platforms. Xbox 360 Controller for Windows works with most Windows XP-based PCs, Windows Vista and Xbox 360, delivering a consistent and universal gaming experience." So yes, that controller will work on your PC and and your Xbox 360.

I read that but i wasn't too sure, as I've read mixed views online saying that it has worked on the 360 for them and also from other people claiming that it has not

A friend of mine actually has one of these controllers too, it definitely works with his 360.

Yes, it's the same controller.

HOWEVER, to use it on a PC, you need a special adapter.

Yes, the wireless version of the XBox 360 controller should work with both the PC and XBox 360.
